Super Vacuum - Ludum Dare 24
Andy here this time!
I also had a pop at making a Ludum Dare entry. I didn’t plan ahead at all since I wasn’t expecting to enter. So I hardly had any time arranged with my wife and only got about 5/6 hours in overall.

On the other hand the experience was fantastic as always and I had a lot of fun making my game.
So the theme was “Evolution” as Rich has already described and I spent some time thinking about what I could show the evolution of. The obvious thing was to go for bugs or organisms of some kind so I threw that idea away immediately and after some more thought went instead to make a game about the evolution of vacuum cleaners!
The idea was that you’d have a minute to clean a house using your ancient vacuum cleaner. Every piece of rubbish you hoovered up would give you money which you could use to upgrade your vacuum (all the way up to Dyson level!) and therefore finish the house in that short minute.
